My name is Louise and this blog is about reading/ books. I realised that I was reading a fair bit, but that I had an ever increasing pile of ‘to read’ books and an even longer (mental) list of books I wanted to read and didn’t own. So I challenged myself to read a book a week and blog about it. More about this here. (NB I completed the challenge at the end of 2014 so now this blog is just me trying to blog about books weekly, rather than read one every week… hard with a baby!)
When it comes to books my favourite authors are Ian McEwan and George Orwell, but my favourite ever book is Wuthering Heights. I read mostly fiction, but I do like reading non-fiction about history or current affairs type topics.
More about me… I’m from the lovely city of Swansea, I’m married, I’m currently a Cover Supervisor in a local Comprehensive school although I am a History/ Politics teacher by trade. I love rugby (Swansea RFC), walking, gardening, cinema esp. world cinema and cooking/ baking. I’m very interested in politics/ current affairs and would describe myself as a socialist and a feminist. I’m a bit of a Francophile too! And I’m a bit obsessed by the Spanish Civil War and anything related to that.
